Hay muchos relatos sobre esta bestia en toda Asturias y muchos son los que afirman que la vieron.

He aquí la canción que el cantante asturiano Víctor Manuel le dedicó a este personaje mítico:
The cuélebre is a magical being from Asturias (north of Spain) and we can consider him a very fierce dragon type. He looks like a giant snake with wings like those of a bat. His scales are terribly hard and he is only vulnerable in soft folds that he has around his neck. He is the keeper of some magical fountains and of amazing treasures, and sometimes he even keeps enchanted maidens. He strikes cattle and eat the dead in cemeteries. There are many tales of this beast across Asturias and many are those who say they saw it. Here is the song that the Asturian singer Victor Manuel dedicated to this mythical figure.
