"Alice's Theme", compuesta por Danny Elfman, de la película "Alicia en el país de las maravillas" de Tim Burton. Sé que esta película tiene sus detractores, pero creo que la música es preciosa.

"En la gruta del rey de la montaña", pieza de la obra "Peer Gynt", del compositor noruego Edvard Grieg. Esta obra narra las aventuras del héroe Peer Gynt. En esta pieza, Peer Gynt está en la parte de la historia en la que tiene que huir de la montaña mágica, por eso la música es tan impetuosa, porque le pone sonido a los duendes encolerizados que le persiguen sin cesar tratando de retenerlo.

Y ¿por qué lo persiguen? Pues porque Peer se ha casado con la hija del Rey de la Montaña a cambio del reino mágico que le ofrecen los duendes como dote. Pero los seres feéricos, como siempre suelen hacer, le van imponiendo condiciones a cambio de su casamiento. Él las acepta todas hasta que descubre que los duendes pretenden arrebatarle su libertad convirtiéndolo también a él en un duende. Peer lucha y se resiste y, finalmente, escapa. Sin embargo, ya es demasiado tarde, porque le han transmitido la naturaleza feérica y ya es semejante a los duendes...

"In the Hall of the Mountain King", part of the play "Peer Gynt" by the Norwegian composer Edvard Grieg. This work tells the adventures of the hero Peer Gynt. In this piece, Peer Gynt is in the part of the story in which he has to flee from the magic mountain, that is why the music is so contagious, because puts sound to the angry goblins chasing him constantly trying to catch him.

And why they do try to chase him? Because Peer has married the daughter of the King of the Mountain in exchange for the magical kingdom the elves offer him as dowry. But the fey creatures, as they usually do, start imposing him conditions in return for his wedding. He accepts them all until he discovers the elves seek to take away his freedom turning him into a goblin too. Peer fights, resists and eventually escapes. However, it is too late, because they have already passed the fairy nature to him and he is now similar to the elves...
